Signs include a shaky steering wheel, difficulty in stopping or a loud, metal scraping sounds in your wheel. These are just common indicators that you need to check your brakes. However, there are more uncommon indicators that your brakes may be showing which you might overlook. These may include brake pedals pressing farther to the floor than usual, the pedal being too light or loose, unusual pedal vibrations, shaking, or vehicle wobbling.
